China Grove voters OK mixed drinks, Bringle as mayor

By Jessie Burchette Salisbury Post CHINA GROVE — Voters approved mixed drinks while re-electing Mayor Don Bringle for a second term. In the eight-candidate race for the Board of Aldermen, voters picked newcomer Lee Withers and Ron Overcash, who served terms in the 1990s. Wining and losing candidates hailed the passage of the mixed drink referendum, saying it will help with economic development and the town’s tax base.
