THE JAILS SHUT DOWN? IS SOMEONE LIKE CRAZY? THAT IS AWFUL. PEOPLE THAT ARE SUPPOST 2 BE BEHIND BARS SHOULD BE. YOU ALL HAVE MONEY- MAKE ANOTHER ONE. I HAVE 2 PEOPLE THAT ARE RELATIVES ON THE SALISBURY POLICE DEP. YOU ALL DO YOUR JOB WELL, AND ITS A HARD JOB, YA JUST CANT SHUT DOWN JAILS THERE. WHY NOW? LAST YEAR WAS DIFFERENT THERE. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN- THERE WILL BE MORE CRIME THERE IF THIS HAPPENEDS. TAKE THE DRUGS AND ACH. OFF THE STREAT- FEED THE HOMELESS- I WAS THERE MANY YEARS. SAW A LOT. IT JUST REALLY UPSETS ME THAT SOMEONE WOULD EVEN THINK OF SUCH THING AS THIS. DO WANT YOU WANT, BUT YOU NEED TO DO THE RIGHT THING. TAX PAYERS- SO WHAT. THIS IS SERIOUS STUFF. MAGOR MALFUNTION………….
Renovate or convert part of the fair grounds into a jail facility. I think there is much wasted space at the fair grounds. Another possiblity would be to attempt to locate a cost effective building that could be renovated to adequately house the required number of imates Also, make sure that PLANNING is made for the future. This can be done with current employees instead of hiring a consulting firm! Bob Wood
