Don’t forget the animalsA week ago, the Kannapolis Citizen wrote a story about the Humane Society of Concord and Greater Cabarrus County working to win a $1 million shelter makeover. At the time, the non-profit group was in 5th place.
They are still in the running for the makeover, but they are falling in points and need your help. Currently, the Cabarrus society is 6th in points, falling one position from last week. Shelters in the top 10 spots are in the running still, with those getting $10,000, but wouldn’t a great new facility for the unwanted animals in Cabarrus County be a wonderful thing? If you would like to help out, visit www.zootoo.com/makeover and sign up. You can earn points for the Humane Society just by signing up. Volunteering, writing short reviews, commenting on animal news stories and more also earn points for the shelter. It’s easy to get started and an easy way to help the animals in the county, so get started! In addition, let us know what you think of the Humane Society here and send us your pet pictures.
