It's a question of which candidate would be the best leader for America, not which one we identify with.
At my house Hillary Clinton has our vote because we know she'll steer us back to a sound economy without wars, with good employment, the same health care plan that Congress members enjoy, gas & electricity we can afford, no more out-sourcing, & an income tax that's fair to us--the working class--instead of favoring the wealthy. We trust Clinton. For my family it's Clinton all the way & we're supporting her every way we can, including campaign contributions whenever we can--it's our investment in our future.

I have already voted early for the candidate of HOPE and CHANGE - wrong - I voted for Hillary Clinton - for those that have been told that there was no way to obtain their goals or dreams and that it was hopeless look to HILLARY CLINTON as a symbolic figure.

Being a senior citizen - African American - I am in a minority with my fellow brothers and sisters - however I can remember the era where the Clintons helped the black communites with jobs, homeless shelters from California to Mississippi - just a few weeks ago Bill went to New Orleans with Brad Pitt to help with the reconstruction of that wonderful city - Hillary went to a rally there even though the voters had rejected her, Obama was too busy with his campaign - guess he already had gotten the votes needed.

Change is just a word - if that were true - that he is going to change Washington politics then why accept endorsements from the old party politicians such as Kerry and Kennedy - he is just another politican.

I hope and pray that my brothers and sisters think hard in North Carolina and vote by heart and conscience rather than color - you will still have to work for whatever you get - nothing will be given to you.

GOD BLESS OUR AMERICA

I will be using half of it to pay my income taxes and the other half to pay the City of Salisbury for my increasing property tax because I am being annexed too.
Sorry Belk's, Thread shed, Rack Room, you will have to wait. So much for helping the ecomony.

I will put it all into a special savings account I opened two weeks ago to help pay the up-coming tax hike and water-sewer assessments after I am annexed by the City of Salisbury. This is money I would have split between spending in town, and donating to various charities here in Salisbury.

I was so happy to see this article in your newspaper. I have followed with interest the many writings about our gubernatorial candidates in various venues across the state. I am afriad that on the Republican side the election may come down to who has the most money to spend on campaign advertising. Several of the candidates are independently wealthy and that really skews the playing field. This election should be about the issues. As your writer points out, Bob Orr is about the issues. I first became acquainted with Justice Orr when he served as one of my professors in law school at N.C. Central University. That was in a required course but I later took an elective course with him more for who was doing the teaching than the course content. Justice Orr is a genius and scholar when it comes to North Carolina constitutional law. His legal and judicial accomplishments speak for themselves and he is well respected throughout the state and beyond. PLEASE read this article, pay attention to the facts, educate yourselves, and don't be swayed by the millions spent on political ads. Bob Orr is the man for the job! He can win in November and break the Democratic dominance in the governor's office. But in order to do so his name must be on the ballot. Vote for Bob Orr in the Republican primary.
